What to look for when buying

Pick the basket size by household: about 3–4 litres for one or two people, 5–6 litres or a dual basket for a family. Dual-basket models cook two dishes at once with different settings. Wattage affects cooking speed more than the number of presets. Check that the basket is non-stick and dishwasher-safe — it is the part you will clean most.
